The Ouran Host Club

Ouran High School Host Club is a hilarious anime that tells the story of Haruhi, a poor student who got a scholarship to study in Ouran Academy, a well-known school for the rich and famous. One day, while looking for a place to study, Haruhi found the 3rd music room which was used by the host club and went in. In the room, Haruhi accidentally broke a vase that cost 8 million yen. Haruhi could not afford to pay for the vase and therefore was force to join the host club as a ‘dog’ (servant). The host club consist of 6 rich gorgeous/beautiful looking teenage boys who serves/host young ladies during their free time. They are, Tamaki(daddy) the founder/president of the club; Kyouya(mummy) the vice president cum secretary cum financial manger of the club; Hikaru and Kaoru(The Itachiin Brothers) the twins who always play pranks on Tamaki and lastly, Honi and Mori senpai, two seniors who are inseparable.

The idea of males serving females in this anime is kind of fresh to me. It is somewhat different that a lot of other animes. I love the way they (the ppl behind the it) model each character. Each one of them are unique but yet they fit and support other character as well. (I’ll explain more on each character below)

There is also a twist in the anime where Haruhi turns out to be a girl instead of a boy. Being a poor child, Haruhi does not dress well and is always in a messed. This confuses people as they think that she is a he instead. At one point of the show, Haruhi was force to change her clothes, being thought of as a boy, the host club members dress her up in a male student uniform. That was when Tamaki noticed her beautiful eyes and instantly made her one of the host club member. The story goes on in each episode telling the lives of Haruhi and the rest of the hot club members.

This anime consist of a total of 26 episodes. Each episode is unique and tells a different story except for maybe 1 or 2 episodes that are inter-related.


The Main Characters:

Haruhi
Haruhi: The star of the show. First year student and classmate of The Itachiin Brothers. A poor student who is always being referred to as a commoner by the rich students in Ouran Academy. Has to work in the host club to pay off her debt for breaking a 8 million yen vase. Hates the club and the members at first but slowly bonded with the members later especially with tamaki.



Tamaki
Tamaki: A second year student in Ouran Academy. He is the founder of the host club. Supposedly the most handsome guy among the host club members. (as he is blonde..and yeah..i do agree..he’s good looking!) He is also the illegitimate son of the owner of Ouran Academy. To me, he is the funniest member of the club and also the silliest as he does not know that Haruhi is a girl.



Kyouya
Kyouya: Another second year student who is also Tamaki’s class mate cum good friend. His father owns the military troop and a giant company in the medical industry. He’s the vice president and the financial manager who is always thinking of ways to promote the club and to make money out of it. He is always serious looking and quiet and usually only talks when there's a need to voice his opinion on how to benefit the club. A brilliant student.



Hikaru
Kaoru
Hikaru and Kaoru (The Itachiin Brothers): First year students and classmates of Haruhi. Their love for each other is the key point for attracting ladies. They are annoying at times, but yet they are funny as they always play pranks on others especially Tamaki.



Mori
Honi
Mori and Honi: Two final year students at Ouran Academy. Both are from famous martial arts families and can fight very well. Both Mori and Honi are inseparable as they have known each other since young (their family are close friends). Mori being the tall cool guy who doesn’t talk follows honi everywhere trying to protect him. Honi on the other hand, is small in stature and has a very cute face (he is so adorable to the extend that I wish I could hug him!). He brings with him his lil rabbit plush toy everywhere and he likes to eat cakes. Although he looks small, he fights very well.

To conclude, I would like to say that I loved this anime! (as you can see from the fact that the soundtrack of the anime is being played as the background song of this blog and my profile picture of the super kawaii honi-kun). Ouran high school host club is a must watch for all anime fans. It is hilarious and entertaining plus the fact that there are good looking and cute guys in it. Once you’ve watched it, you would definitely want a second season but it seems rather unlikely. Overall, I give it a 4.5 out of 5 rating. :)

All About Inuyasha

Well, this will be my first post as a blogger here as the previous was posted by sue. Anyway, thanks a lot to sue for creating this blog and make it looks so nice. Ohh yea,and many thanks to ppl who are spending your precious time reading this blog.

As stated above,Inuyasha story started off with a human girl name Kagome who fell into a well that travels thru time back into the warring state period of Japan. Actually there was a centipede demon who believes that she posess the Shikon Jewel and pulls her into the well. There, she met Inuyasha, the demon dog who was sleeping on the huge tree in front of the well. To save her life and other nearby villagers life, she pulls out the arrow from Inuyasha's body which released his curse. Of course, Inuyasha saved everyone's life by defeating the centipede demon. The story continues when Kagome accidentally broke the Shikon Jewel into pieces and land on everywhere of the state. Shikon Jewel is supposed to be sealed away 50 years ago. However, it is believe that Kagome posess the jewel as she is the reincarnation of Kikyo, a priestess who died protecting the Shikon Jewel.

Therefore, Inuyasha and Kagome are forced to cooperate in retriving the jewel piece by piece to seal it away from other demons with evil motives. It gets more interesting and humorous when they made a few more companion in thier journey who are Sango,Miroku and Shippo. Each had thier own power in defeating demons like, Sango using boomer, Miroku has his Kazaana which can suck almost anything into another dimension, Shippo tend to use tricks than to fight as he is just a baby fox demon. As for Kagome, since she is a reincarnation of Kikyo, therefore she tend to have the power of a miko. As for Inuyasha, he has too many power to be describe. When you watch it, you will know.

Inuyasha tend to has many enemies especially his own brother Sesshomaru as Inuyasha was actually a half human half demon(GOSH!!!I Like Sessomaru!!!!). Inuyasha's father was a powerful demon dog who left both of his son swords which is made of his fangs(Inuyasha's father is even more good looking...too bad,he is already dead in the movie and do not see him very often).Well, things started to get interesting when everyone shares the same strong evil demon enemy called Naraku. He is actually in love with Kikyo as she took care of him when he was about to die from burning. Of course, he gets jealous when Kikyo and Inuyasha had a short period of time in romancing. This leads him to made a pact with demons to gain more power to take revenge. Well, these are all the past as now Inuyasha loves Kagome (how sweet). Well, why did Kikyo sealed Inuyasha off the tree to sleep? Is all because of Naraku who diguise himself to be Inuyasha to kill Kikyo and vice versa. The REAL Inuyasha got mad and hence, he stole the Shikon Jewel. Kikyo as a priestess would never allow this to happen and there she goes shooting Inuyasha with her magical arrow to seal him off the tree and sleeps eternally i think. Are you getting a little confuse now?Well, nevermind that, just watch the anime you will know wat I meant.

As for the ending of this anime, I quess it does not satisfy me because Naraku and his accomplices are not dead. Well, I heard that Japan did have another extra episode of the story. Well, too bad, I don't get to download it. Anyway, the whole story was really nice as it involves in romance, comedy and actions.

yay!!! our anime blog is finally here!!! after talking abt it for some time we finally created it! the blog will consist of anime reviews..our opinion on animes..chraracters from animes....and anything we can think of abt anime...me and cyn will try to work on and update this blog as often as we can..hehe

as this is the first post of the blog..i will write a lil into abt us and also the blog..well..first of all..me and cyn are anime lover..(whoever knows us knows that) and recently..our craze for anime went to an ALMOST insane level..lol..so to satisfy our anime needs and also to spred our love for anime to others..we have decided to work on a blog entirely on anime.. :)

why do we call this blog matkilikulu? hehe it was a suggestion from cin...and how did she came up with such a name? ahahha..well..it all started back when me, cyn n cin were in sabah for holiday..i bought a mat kuro kuro suke plush toy (fyi, mat kuro kuro suke is the dust mite from the totoro movie)..i was hyped abt the plush toy at that point ( i am still hyped abt it now)..and was playing with it everyday...well cyn had difficulty in pronoucing its name and then one fine moment she suddenly came up with a name for it that is matkilikulu..and so there it was..she renamed my mat kuro kuro suke to matkilikulu...and since the phrase matkilikulu sounds so cutee n nice we decided to use it for the name of the blog..pls dont be mistaken as this blog has notin to do with mat kurokuro suke...this blog is entirely dedicated to the world of anime!
